After a brilliant start and leadership in the standings, Everton slipped to ninth position. If the Toffees get out of the crisis and start winning steadily again, they may well bet on getting into the Champions League, but this is unlikely to happen in the match against Chelsea. Chelsea

Unlike Everton, Chelsea places a bet not only on the Champions League. After huge spending in the transfer market, the Blues are ready to compete for the gold medals of the English Premier League and now they look like a quite real contender. The team occupies the third line and is only two points behind the leading Tottenham. In the last game of the Premier League, the Pensioners gained confident victory over Leeds at Stamford Bridge (3-1). Having conceded the first goal, the hosts did not fall through, created enormous pressure on the opponent's penalty area, and managed to score three unanswered goals before the final whistle.

Verdict

Everton is a top-notch team, but the Toffees are in crisis now. This year Chelsea is clearly one of the strongest clubs in the Premier League and is in great shape at this point. Although it will hardly be easy for the Blues against the Toffees away, they will probably manage to upset the hosts’ goalkeeper at least twice.
